>Fake State Board of Elections Flyer: Vote on November 5th if you’re a Democrat

>

How dumb do Republican supporters think people are?  Take a look at this:

“All Republican party supporters and independent voters supporting Republican candidates shall vote on November 4th as prescribed by law”

“All Democratic party supporters and independent voters supporting Democratic candidates shall vote on November 5th as adopted by emergency regulation of the Virginia General Assembly”

The flyer, passed out this week in Hampton Roads, uses official-looking State Board of Elections logos and apologizes “for any inconvenience this might cause”.

Yeah, like the inconvenience of being disenfranchised.  Sorry about that.

    >I’ve been seeing this (going both ways) for eight years now.Very few people, Demo or Reb, actually support the idea of democracy if the other guy is going to vote ‘wrong’. Lots of people prefer the democracy that lets everyone (who agrees with their views) vote.

    >Typically, Republicans are accused of trying to keep undesirable people from voting, and Democrats are accused of fraudulent voting. I would argue that some states make it too hard to vote, and that there are very few cases in modern times that can be shown to be fraudulent voting. Trying to register “Mickey Mouse” isn’t really a problem when there won’t be a person with that ID showing up at the polls. I think Virginia strikes the right balance by requiring ID the first time you vote to ensure that such a person exists.
