>Update: Mugabe wins!

>Mugabe has been sworn in for another term as Zimbabwe’s President. I think the most amusing part of this is that he invited his opponent, who was forced out of the running due to violence against his supporters, to his swearing-in ceremony.

    >Sure, why -not- invite him?At least this way, he kind of 1% looks friendly. We all KNOW he’s evil, but if he hadn’t even invited him, he wouldn’t look ‘less’ evil.At BEST, this could be a courtesy invite, like when you invite your friend who lives 100 miles away to have a drink. “Hey, I know it isn’t worth the time for you to make it, but we’d LOVE to have you here…”The whole situation is BS though. I wrote to Amnesty International about 6-7 years ago, and they totally blew me off. Even THEY didn’t care, because they figured Mugabe was ‘fine’.
